DAY 1
Tuesday 20 November 2018
Home to Mayfield (L/D)

Meet your Tour Leader, Linda Ross at Central Coach Terminal, Sydney for your departure to Mayfield. First stop is Mount Tomah Botanic Garden. Time for a coffee break and wander through the garden. Next stop is Gory’u Japanese Garden in Little Harley. Alan Jackson has spent the past five years skillfully designing and building this garden based on Buddhist, Taoist and Shinto principles. We will see maples in fresh new leaf, lanterns, basins, bridges, moon viewing platform, lake, stream … all with glistening raked white gravel. It’s a masterfull garden. Our last stop today, is Wild Meadows, a garden of flowers: borders and meadows. The magnitude and beauty of this garden just takes your breath away. What Stephen Vella has done in five years and continues to do is inspirational. Arrive at Mayfield and hopefully see a spectacular sunset as we settle into the ‘glamping’ village. Dinner tonight is ‘al fresco’ a “Farmers platter” celebrating Mayfield’s fresh produce & meat, which we will cook over the fire pit.

Accommodation: Mayfield Glamping Village
